ATTICA ---Leslie G. Hawkins, 66, of 703 Summit St., was dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, at 6:10 p.m. Thursday after becoming ill at his home.

Born in Lafayette, he lived in the O'Dell community before community before coming to Attica in 1935. He attended Jackson Heights School and was married in 1929 at Crawfordsville to Louise Mason who survives.

He worked for Public Service Indiana for 45 years, retiring a year and a half ago as superintendent of operations of the Attica PSI District.

He was a member of the New Richmond Christian Church, past master of Wabash Lodge 708 F&AM, Attica Chapter 124 Order of Eastern Star and the Attica Lions Club. Also surviving are a son, Donald of Lafayette, and sister, Mrs. Elva H. (Thelma) Davis of O’Dell– thanks to Adina D.
